To ensure security while maintaining and administering the Teamcenter environment, it's necessary to periodically update the Database password (whether Oracle or Microsoft SQL). When this password is changed, the Teamcenter environment must be updated with the new credentials for the Teamcenter user in the Database.
During the demonstration, the instructor explains the effects of changing a Database password, how to check if the database is connected, and how to use the install -ayt and install -encrypt commands to re-encrypt the new password and update it in the tc_data\tc_profilevars location.
